Can I take my dog?
Yes, there is space for dogs.
Can we take coolers/ice chests?
Yes, there is space for coolers/ice chests on all units.
Can I take fishing poles?
Yes, there is space for fishing gear on all units.
Can I wear sandals?
You may want to walk around at any point during your rental, it is recommended to have closed toe shoes.
Should I bring a jacket?
The weather could change at any moment its best to have a light jacket and rain gear with you.
Can I bring my own lunch?
Yes. It is recommended to take snacks and plenty of water with you. All of our units will accommodate a small to mid size cooler. Rangers and Generals will hold large coolers.
Will I get charged for flat tires?
No, as long as we can see that you did no illegal maneuvers or went off trail/road. Customers are not allowed to do any mechanic work on the units; including tire changes or utilizing the winches.
Can my child sit in my lap?
No, everyone in the unit has to sit in their own seat and wear a seat belt. Child carseats are not allowed by manufacturer's regulations.
Is there bathrooms on any of the trails?
There are primitive bathrooms at Goose Lake and Cabresto Lake.
Can I rent for multiple days?
Yes, in Red River only. Customers pay the 7 hour price for each day that you want it and bring it back by 5pm the last day. Red River ordinances limit operation of side by sides in Town limits to between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
Can I drive the Polaris from your lot to the trail?
Yes, in Red River, but in Angel Fire, we will trailer the unit for you.
Slingshot FAQ’s
Can we use these to go on trails?
No, the Slingshots are for pavement use only.
Is there storage on the Slingshots?
Yes there is storage behind the driver and passenger seat.
Do I need a motorcycle license to drive?
No, you just need to be 25 with a valid drivers license. New Mexico classifies the Slingshot as an autocycle and does not require a motorcycle endorsement.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Anyone under the age of 18 has to wear a certified DOT helmet by state law, but you are welcome to take your own DOT helmet if you choose.
Can I take my dog?
A small dog would be fine to take.
Can my child sit in my passenger’s lap?
No, the Slingshots are a 2 person capacity and everyone in the vehicle needs to have their own seatbelt.
Do the Slingshots have to stay in town?
No, they can go anywhere on the pavement/highway.
What do I do if it starts raining?
Pull over and wait it out, give us a call and let us know. We won’t penalize you for being late because of the weather-be safe.

Can I take my dog?
No. There is no place for a dog to sit on the snowmobile.
Do I have to take a heavier jacket?
Yes, waterproof snow gear is required. We do not provide this.
How cold is it at the top of the mountain?
It’s about a 5-10°difference, but feels colder especially in shaded areas.
Is there a waiver I can sign so that my minor can drive?
No, no one under the age of 18/25 (depending on the type of reservation: guided/rental) can drive.
Do I have to show a driver es license? Can I show an ID?
No, to be able to drive our machines you have to have a valid drivers license
Can I take drinks and snacks?
Yes, there is a small bag on on the back of every snowmobile to keep your things
Is there a place to put a camera on the snowmobile?
Yes, there is a small bag on the back of every snowmobile to keep your things.
Can I take my child if they sit in front of the driver?
No, passengers are not allowed to ride in front of the driver.
Can I ride with 2 kids?
No, all the snowmobiles are a 2 person max capacity no matter the age.
Are there bathrooms on the trail?
Yes, there is an outhouse in the meadows.
Can I rent for a whole day?
Depending on the snow, you’d have to pay for the morning and the afternoon slot ($225 each).
